Meet the Teacher:I'm a Texas girl and a proud American who was raised around the world as a result of my father's career in oil-related construction. At an early age, I developed an appreciation for diversity, culture, and global thinking. I consider myself to be an enthusiastic student of life and a deep thinker who believes every individual was born with a purpose, something he/she was created to do or become. I'd like to think my calling is to help others find their passion.
Celebrating my 27th year in education and my 13th year at Eanes ISD, I knew at an early age I would teach. My husband Mac and I are readers, writers, thinkers, and gadget people who love music, road trips, and Texas. Our happiest days are spent with our family, my parents, our kids and grandchildren. We're also a part of a very large group of entrepreneurs, friends, with hearts for helping people, and we dream BIG. If you were to ask me what legacy I hope to leave, here's how I'd answer: "I hope my life honors God, that people know how much I care, and that my influence inspires people to make a positive difference in the lives of others." This, to me, would be the mark of success. As an American, I absolutely do believe our best days are still ahead of us. As a teacher at Hill Country Middle School, my goal is to prepare my students to be independent thinkers, critical readers, effective communicators, and positive leaders in this blessed nation we call home.
